This is a memoir of being a young girl (in the early 1970s) with a profound need for independence, in a male (very dominated) environment. Looking around, the motorbike seemed to have it all, NOW.

Just buy your bike, tax and insure it, get provisional licence and hey presto – hit the go button. At first life is at your fingertips – in the way of a throttle, but like life, it is ready to throw curveballs at you, all the time.
